Class 4 MOT
The statutory MOT test for most cars and light vans, checking the roadworthiness and environmental requirements that apply at the time of the test.

Diagnostics and checks
Find out what is wrong, then decide
The £85 hour-long check includes the £45 scan. If a scan turns into the longer check in the same appointment, what you paid for the scan comes off the total.
Fault-code scan
We read the fault codes stored by the vehicle and explain what they point to. A code is a clue, not proof that a particular part needs replacing.

Initial diagnostic assessment, up to one hour
Up to an hour of investigation, including scanning and the relevant tests, with the findings explained and a next step agreed.

Brake inspection
An inspection of the braking system with the findings explained. Inspection only.

Battery health and basic charging-system checks, with the results explained.

The detail
What the starting prices cover
Service prices include the listed work, labour and VAT where applicable. Starting prices cover eligible petrol and diesel cars with up to five litres of engine oil. Your exact price depends on your vehicle's oil, parts and servicing requirements. Send us your registration and we'll confirm the total before you book. Additional work is only carried out with your agreement.
- Starting prices cover everyday petrol and diesel cars with up to five litres of the right oil, the listed filters, labour and normal disposal.
- Extra oil, expensive parts and awkward access are added to your quote and agreed before work starts. We never use the wrong oil to hold a headline price.
- Spark plugs, diesel fuel filters, gearbox oil, timing belts, repairs and other manufacturer-specific work are quoted separately.
- These are garage maintenance packages. They are not a promise to match every manufacturer schedule on every car, so we check your history and what your manufacturer asks for.
- Hybrid and electric cars need a quote for that car, and we will confirm what we can offer before booking. An electric car does not need engine oil.
